Cornerstone Residence / Orange

Cornerstone Residence is conceived as a contemporary family home defined by clarity, balance, and refined material expression. Located within a corner terrace house, the design takes advantage of its open perimeter to introduce abundant natural light, creating an interior that feels calm, bright, and comfortable for everyday living. The project name reflects the idea of the home as a stable foundation for family life.

The interior palette combines dark grey marble with wood-textured laminate, creating a balanced contrast between cool stone surfaces and warm timber tones. The natural veining of the marble introduces subtle visual texture while maintaining a restrained contemporary character.

Positioned at the centre of the house, the kitchen acts as the main spatial connector. Two concealed doors are integrated on either side of the kitchen, leading respectively to the laundry area and the storeroom, allowing service spaces to remain discreetly organised.

A marble kitchen island anchors the open-plan living and dining areas, forming both a functional workspace and a natural gathering point within the home. Behind the island, a full-height cabinetry wall with suspended display units provides practical storage while maintaining a clean architectural composition.

To subtly distinguish the kitchen from the living area, the flooring transitions to dark wood-toned tiles that match the cabinetry. While the living space maintains a lighter palette, the kitchen adopts a deeper tone, creating gentle contrast within the open-plan layout.

Through careful spatial planning and restrained material selection, Cornerstone Residence reflects a home that is calm, practical, and thoughtfully designed for modern family living.
